Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services by analyzing project plans and documents.
Determine the required quantities of materials and resources by conducting detailed quantity assessments.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for construction materials and services.
Maintain an updated cost database for consistent and accurate pricing.
Suggest cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options without compromising quality.
Create bid proposals that align with project specifications and deadlines.
Evaluate initial estimates through post-project cost analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and labor costs to enhance estimate accuracy.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and team members to ensure effective communication.
Provide cost-related insights and recommendations during project planning and strategy discussions.
Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and enhance company practices.
Pay Range: $70K-100K DOE
